16. August-
Went back to Stupid Class today... god that stuff annoys me... then me and Rodrigo (another exchange student) left and went to the Apple store so he could buy some sort of cord, i was merely his translator and guide... anyways, on our way out it starts to DOWN-POUR! like, literally, swimming without being in a lake downpour... and i had to take Rodrigo all the way to KGS (Kieler Gelehrnten Schule) which is on the other side of town and in the opposite direction to which i need to go home... in the rain... HE at least has some sort of hoodie, me? no... i am wearing my cut-off and an over-shirt. anyways, i drop him off there and head home, to Molfsee, which is actually a long ways to go... by bike... in the rain... :(
i started not feeling good after a while so i went to the Apotheke (Pharmacy) and bought some Cold meds, and just my luck... just as i get into the comfort of my home, the rain stops, the clouds clear, and the sun begins to shine.... wow, really?? so i am sitting here, feeling like crap, and sippin’ some soup... *fun... Gute Nacht :)
17. August-
These past two days i didn’t do a whole lot because i was sick, but on the 17th i slept in, and then went to Kiel to talk to my “german teacher” and starting monday i will be having a more difficult german course :) That night we also had a surprise visit from friends of Gesa, we had a wonderful dinner of grilled meats... pork, chicken, steak, pork wrapped in bacon (my favorite).... Gute Nacht :)
18. August-
Today was off the hook (so to say)!!!!! SOOOO much fun, first, i awoke and me and the fam left to go to the NORTH SEA!!!! boo-ya! so much fun in the sun! the sands are white and soft, the water was the perfect temperature to cool you off, beautiful women, and NO JELLY-FISH! then we had to literally RUSH home so i could make it to my friend Dome’s birthday party. Man, this sure wasn’t a pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, kind of party... you germans sure do it right :) and my host parents handled me in the perfect way (i know i’ve said it, but i’ll say it again, god i love ‘em... I LOVE MY MOM AND DAD BACK HOME TOO <3 ) they set a curfew of 1 a/m, and instead of my idea of taking a bus home, Peter just came to pick me up to save me money :) well, it is now about 2 a/m.... Gute Nacht :)
19. August-
Man, was today cool.... I ventured off, on my own, to Neumunster. it was roughly 36-38 Grad (maybe 95 degree’s Fahrenheit), very, very warm, i got off the train and wasn’t sure where to go so, i established a point where i could find my way back (the Church, seriously, tallest building around...) and from there i basically went all around the city. it was very beautiful and i enjoyed myself a lot, all together my day cost me about 15 Euro’s ( about 18$). when i finally returned home after 4 hours, i was sooooo warm, i had to go for a swim, so i biked on over to my ever-famous, and favorite spot, Ramsee. well tomorrow i start my new, actual german class, where i hope to actually learn something (believe it or not :P ) … Gute Nacht :)
20. August-
Today was just one big blur... i awoke at 7 as usual to get up and prepare for my speaking course, today was the fateful day that i began my new, more difficult, course. and man was it a little more difficult, not so much the material, it was all material i had either learned or glossed over previously, where i encountered problems was with the fact that i had to learn German... in German... when faced with a more complicated German grammar concept, i didn’t have english to fall back onto, i didn’t have Frau Peter’s at the High School to explain in terms that i could understand... none-the-less, i braced myself through the first day, however i was exhausted afterwards, our dear Kati Strid (RYE District 6220 Outbound Coord.) had said once that your brain is going to be so exhausted just from translating things all day that you will just go home and crash... well i sure as heck fell into that prediction, fell into it, and into a deep blissful slumber... i returned home and slept for 4 hours before i had to leave for our late night Rotary Meeting at the Kieler Kaufmann.. very nice place.... To which i then presented my Home Town’s Rotary Flag of the Eagle River Club, overall, even with my choppy german thanking everyone for the opportunity, it was a great night, and i can’t express how happy i am to say... Gute Nacht :)
