Today was a chill day... we didnt do a whole lot. we all awoke, we ate the regular breakfast of meats, cheeses, and bread, then i retired to me room to read/listen along to the Iliad and the Odyssey in German while Ari was at Spanish lessons, Corvin went off to Basketball, and Peter took a short nap. Later, Peter and I decided to attend a semi-professional Soccer match that was taking place just down our street at the Sport-Felden (sports fields). WOW was that a game, and we had great seats, it was also free (very nice). when we returned home Gesa took Corvin and I out for ice cream. not much happened after that, we all just sort of retired to our own rooms, did our thing, Ari, that poor girl, has 3 more weeks before her plane takes off for Argentina. and still has to go to school, and do all the work/homework... PLUS spanish courses outside of school, i feel for my host sister :(
anyways, i’m currently just laying in bed, listening to music, and admiring my fresh new haircut (Thanks Peter!) …. Gute Nacht! :)

WOW, today was fun, but at the same time i don’t think i’ve cursed in anger so much... i woke up thinking i had my first Sprachkurs (Speaking Class) today in Kiel on Muhliusstrasse. Well not only did I spend half my DAY looking for it, but when i finally gave up and had to bike on over to the lovely Kieler Kaufmann for my Rotary Meeting, my RYE Officer told me that classes don’t start until WEDNESDAY! lovely!!!! seriously, that’s one things German’s aren’t as efficient as everyone else on... labeling their streets!!! not to mention with all that construction going on, you were referred to another street (or couple of streets with turns onto others) in order to get where you needed to go... well alotta good that little referral does me when i need to go down 4 different roads, all of which are blocked by said construction... oh man!!! anyways, in my time after the meeting, i bummed around Kiel, going to my favorite spots, (the Biergartens, the Bootshoff Platz, etc.). then i returned home to Molfsee drenched in sweat. *fun... so i jumped in the lake and am looking forward to going to school tomorrow... not... funny how quickly these things turn around? :)... Gute Nacht :)

well i know i missed a few days but seriously think that i had so little going on that i just forgot to write what little happened.... i basically went to school on tuesday, went home for a swim, ate dinner and went to bed... today (wednesday) was just GOD-AWFUL! i am an exchange student that thinks i am fairly well prepared (language wise), after taking 7 years of German studies last of which being an honors course where i took and scored highly on a college test. Well despite all of which, i must attend a Language camp, ok, yeah, totally okay with that, i don’t care how many years i have taken, i can sure as heck learn more! well... i can say for certain that i am not going to learn a dang thing in that class.... i have literally never been so insulted. my fellow exchange students in my district (that i flew in with) haven’t had a single full german lesson, yet they do not have to take such courses.. just me. Allow me to explain why i feel so offended, i go to this class holding no expectations (a wise lesson a Rebound taught me), and i knew that they were going to have to start off basic, but my god... i-c-h..... h-e-i-s-s-e... _________..... repeated a good 50 times perfectly pronouncing each syllable at speeds that tree sap in January could exceed... i am not blindly taking out my anger on this course... I WANT TO LEARN! go figure... but i will not learn a darn thing in that class... oh and when i got home i went with Gesa to her father’s house to do some chores.... Gute Nacht!
I would like to correct your statement of "my fellow exchange students in my district (that i flew in with) haven't had a single full german lesson" Ive had 8 years of German, which is more than you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
