28. August-
Today after my speaking course I met up with Peter and together we went to “Well You” to sign me up into the Fitness Center. While i cannot afford to be in a sports club, i can still get nice and buff. This one is particularly nice because it is right next to my school, so after school i can go get strong and head home. The facility is incredibly nice, like our weight room back in Eagle River, but on Steroids (ok that was a bad pun, i know), fully equipped with every weight machine and station one could imagine, fully automated admittance systems, pretty high tech showers/locker rooms (although you have to pay a euro a month to use ‘em, not too bad), not to forget that this building is 3 or maybe 4 floors, HUGE.... anyways, having a quick game of 7 Wonders then off to bed... Gute Nacht :)
29. August-
Firstly, hold the phone ladies and gents! today... i am a very happy man... today, i joined a German Track and Field Club (of Molfsee)... very excited, turns out the physical center was trying to rip us all off so.... here i am, finally being able to try out javelin! :D
Secondly... today is Ari’s birthday, and roughly a week from today she leaves for Argentina. I made the mistake of thinking the Postal Services would have actually made time... but of course i was mistaken, looks like i’ll have to send you your present in the mail with Gesa und Peter care package… sorry sis :P
anyways, tonight will be her little party with her friends, hopefully i can get ‘some’ sleep... Gute Nacht :)
30. August-
I woke up this morning not feeling too well, i have a really bad ‘Halz Schmerzen’ **throat ache. i managed to pull myself together just enough after a shower to drag my sorry butt to school, however i felt really bad that i admittedly, fell asleep a lot... i don’t know what’s going on with me but maybe i just need some good rest SO.... Gute Nacht :)
31. August-
yup.... i am officially sick... i feel like i am dying, nose and sinuses are completely clogged with pressure, throat hurts terribly, and my body feels weak and fragile...
I am already missing an opportunity to go through southern Germany on a week long trip, so, today... despite my overwhelming illness, i brought myself down to the Drachensee Parkplatz to meet with many RYE and rotarians to go sailing... a decision i regretted almost immediately after getting on board. the day WAS fun, but it was difficult to find enjoyment when feeling so broken... anyways, i am home now and really need some rest... Gute Nacht :)
1. September-
Today i woke up, if one could call it that, i “awoke” feeling as though i was already dead, illnesses must just be worse over-seas because i feel terrible.. anyways, after a day filled with rest, the very first thing i did was to send in my RYE monthly report as it is the 1st of the month, i then later skyped my parents for the first time in my 5-6 weeks of being here. we must’ve talked for 2 hours and even in that elongated, allotted, amount of time we didn’t have time to share all the stories that’s taken place. i probably WOULD have been able to accomplish such but i couldnt for two reasons, 1) it’s hard enough to think of all the things that’ve happened over the course of a few weeks that feel more like a lifetime, right on the spot, but due to reason #2.. having my head all foggy from being sick... it was deemed impossible, so i will try to call them again tonight, well.. tonight for them... it will be roughly 3 a/m maybe later for me here... anyways, i won’t be falling asleep but.. Gute Nacht :)
2. September-
Today i woke up feeling incredibly better, while my sore throat and stuffy nose still remain, i felt 110% stronger. i guess the Hungarian medicine i tried worked ( it’s called Unicum **uni-koom*, and i picked it up on my trip to Budapest 2 years ago, i suggest finding out how you can buy a bottle). Anyways, after getting in a much needed delicious breakfest, i cleaned my room (also much needed :) ], and then spent the day outside, enjoying the sun while it was out. approximately 12 o’clock, my host siblings finally returned from their father, Tibor’s, house (where the party was held the previous night) looking like the walking dead... apparently they had a good time, no sleep, lots of food, lots of drinking, and a lot of dancing= teens dream party... later on we had a very pleasant visit from Gesa’s father and Peter’s parents. we ate a delicious meal of leftovers from the party :) which was still a bountiful feast... looks like i am feeling well just in time enough to go to school tomorrow... so Gute Nacht :)
